Msgt Anthony Andreas was born in Beverly, Massachusetts.  He enlisted in the Marine Corp in Salem, MA, on June 24, 1954.  He attended boot camp at Parris Island, SC and completed his infantry training at Camp Pendleton, in CA. 

ASSIGNMENTS: Msgt Andreas’ assignments and duty positions include Fifth Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division until 1958; 1st Marine Brigade, Kaneohe Bay, HI, until 1963; 1st Marine Division Camp Pendleton, CA, until 1964; 3rd Marine Divison, Okinawa; Camp Lejeune, NC, Jan. 1966, Radio Relay Chief of 7th Communications Battalion, 2nd Marine Division; Marine Corps Base, Barstow, CA, July 1968;  Instructor-Inspector Staff, Boston MA, 1st Marine Corp District until 1972: 1st Marine Air Win Electronics Chief Iwakuni, Japan; Camp Pendleton, CA, October 1973, Base Communication-Electronics Chief.

Deployments:  Msgt Andreas served in the following deployments during his career:  Dec. 1954, Nara, Japan, 3rd Marine Division; Feb., 1955, Kaneohe Bay, HI, 4.2 inch mortar man 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Brigade; March 1965, Danang, Vietnam, 9th Marine Expeditionary Force; Nov., 1968, ChuLai, Vietnam, Communication Electronic Chief, Marine Air Group 13; Mar. 1969, Danang, Vietnam, 1st Marine Air Wing Electronics Chief.

EDUCATION:  Msgt Anthony Andreas graduated from Beverly HS, in Beverly MA.  He attended Basic Electronics School, Treasure Island, CA, 1958; Radio Relay Electronics School, MCRD, San Diego, CA, 1968; Mira Costa College, Oceanside, CA, awarded an AA degree.

Msgt Anthony Andreas received the Navy Commendation Medal and retired from the Marine Corp in February 1974.
