Richard Hamilton was enlisted in the United States Air Force from October 1977 to January 1983.
After Boot Camp in San Antonio, Texas he attended Munitions training at Lowry AFB in Denver, Colorado.
His first assignment was back in San Antonio, Texas at Kelly AFB.
After several years, he was sent to Guam at Anderson AFB for a two-year assignment.
Once returning to the states, he was sent to Moody AFB in Valdosta, GA to complete his enlistment.
